Telling the story of a couple’s wedding brings about a nervousness and excitement in me, so when Kimberly and Jake asked me to tell their story it brought those emotions up a level. Kimberly is my wife’s little sister and being asked to shoot her wedding was a huge honor. It has been a joy to get to know these two and walk with them through their dating relationship. Kerri and I are super excited to continue to walk with these newlyweds and enjoy the light that they bring about separately and the brighter light they bring together.
I could not have done this wedding by myself. I had the pleasure of being asked by Jake to be a groomsman so I needed someone I trusted to help me along with the day. What a privilege it was to have the photographer that took pictures when I proposed to Kerri, our engagement pictures and our wedding. Cole, of Blest Studios, was a HUGE help and such a great friend and encourager to me.
Cole and I were given a pretty easy job – Kimberly and Jake exude so much joy and their friends and family were so excited to see them get married. It also helped that they had the cutest flower girl alive (my niece) and the wedding took place at the beautiful Merrimon-Wynne house!
Kimberly and Jake, it was an honor to capture the moments of your day. It was a privilege to find the moments of love, happiness and joyful tears that make your story beautiful. Continue to love the people around you and cherish your community of loved ones. I hope these pictures come close to representing the day that you two began your marriage journey together. Love you both!
